Aug. 17 – Weed control outing along the Appalachian Trail at Mill Ridge
We need volunteers to help rotectt native plants from exotic invasions along the A.T. in Pisgah National Forest.

Aug. 18 – Save the French Broad Raft Race
We need four volunteers to help with race set up and break down in Hot Springs. Expect to get wet!

Aug. 24 -Asheville Beyond Coal Rally:
20 volunteers are needed for set up and break down for this exciting rally at Pack Square. Shifts from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Sept. 15 – Big Love festival
Help talk to folks about WNCA. Eight volunteers needed for shifts from 1-8 p.m. at Pack Square.

September-October – Plant red spruce seedlings
Field-hardy volunteers needed to help plant seedlings. Travel time to the site from Asheville is 2.5 hours.

Ongoing – Water quality (bacteria) monitoring in the French Broad River
Volunteers are trained to monitor and clean up sources of bacteria impairment in our local waterways during a weekly meetup at Westfeldt Park (280 Old Fanning Bridge Road, near the Asheville Airport.)
