Hendersonville Green Drinks: Why Greenways?

Hendersonville Green Drinks welcomes Katie Breckheimer, of Friends of the Oklawaha Greenway. Katie has been with the Friends of the Oklawaha Greenway since its inception in 2015. She is a long-time Henderson County resident, who has advocated for natural resource conservation throughout her career.

The Friends of the Oklawaha Greenway is a coalition of non-profits and private citizens, who work to protect, promote and grow the Oklawaha Greenway, a 3.25-mile greenway through the heart of Henderson County. Come learn what has been done, what is planned, and what you can do to help grow a local network of greenways.

Hendersonville Green Drinks is presented by MountainTrue and the Carolina Mountain Land Conservancy. Come to Green Drinks to learn more about current environmental issues, have relevant discussions, and meet with like-minded people. This is a monthly event and everyone is welcome. You don’t have to drink at Green Drinks, just come and listen. Black Bear Coffee offers beer, wine, coffee drinks and sodas. A limited food menu will be available.
