Invasive Plant Control on the Oklawaha Greenway

June 15 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

Join the MountainTrue team for an important work day as a part of Pollinator Month in Hendersonville, NC! During this workday we will be controlling non-native invasive plants along the Oklawaha Greenway! The greenway is a popular spot for a number of outdoor activities including walking, biking, rollerblading, and skateboarding and is home to native roses, trees and birds. Controlling invasives is just one way to slow the spread of these plants.

We’ll provide all gloves, equipment and instruction needed. Please bring snacks, water, rain jacket and wear long pants, long sleeve shirt and closed toe shoes (no open shoes or sandals allowed for safety).
