Section Paddle: Redmond Dam to Barnard

Join the French Broad Riverkeeper for a section paddle trip on the French Broad River! The cost is $10 per person. You can bring your own boat if you have one or we encourage you to rent from local outfitters since this trip will be in whitewater.
This section trip will be from Redmond Dam to Barnard.
Mileage: 5.5
Meet at 10 a.m. at Marshall Restaurant, Mama’s Kitchen.
We’ll follow each other to the put-in at the dam from the restaurant. This section has one small class II rapid, lots of rock dodging and passes by an awesome Paddle Trail campsite, Evan’s Island. We’ll run shuttle before putting in the river. Just bring yourself, your boat/gear, your lunch, your sunscreen, your water bottle and your best high five.
