The river is no place for a tire!

We are always in need of volunteers to help out with administrative duties, special events and festivals, water quality monitoring, invasive plant removal and many other helpful tasks.

Jan. 23 & Jan 27: Volunteer and get FREE ADMISSION to two live shows celebrating the life and adventures of The Sierra Club founder and environmental hero, John Muir. Click here to volunteer.
Jan. 23; Feb. 20; and March 10 & 24: Paddle & Plant with the French Broad Riverkeeper: We need volunteers paddle with our French Broad Riverkeeper and plant live trees along the riverbank as we go. Each tree we plant will help to restore the bank’s stability and prevent sediment erosion into the French Broad River.
