Richard Fireman

Richard Fireman

On Nov. 21, our friends and partners at WNC Green Congregations will celebrate and share gratitude for Richard Fireman, its co-founder and a longtime supporter of faith-inspired environmental efforts in Western North Carolina.

After many years of courageous efforts to protect our mountains and the planet (and all who depend on it), Richard is celebrating his 70th birthday by taking a sabbatical. While he will no longer serve as WNCGC’s co-coordinator, he will stay engaged as a friend and adviser.

Make sure to come out at 6 p.m. on Nov. 21 to First Baptist Church of Asheville and give him a big thank you hug!

This gathering will also be a time of celebration and gratitude for the amazing support and grace on WNCGC’s efforts over the past year and a half, as well as a chance to  look ahead to 2014.

Even if you have yet to make one of WNCGC’s meetings and events before,  you’re encouraged to join this celebration.

For details, email AnnaJane@WNCA.org.

Feel free to invite fellow friends, congregants, or colleagues with an interest in creation care!
