Statewide environmental advocates have sent a letter to North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory welcoming him to his new post and requesting a meeting with him to discuss environmental priorities. The letter reads, in part:

“As  you  establish  the  environmental  and  natural  resource  plans  for  your  administration,  we   want  to  share  our  priorities  for  achievable  objectives  that  would  improve  the environment,  economy,  and  health and  lives  of  all  North  Carolinians. We  would  welcome  a  meeting  to  discuss  how  we can  work  together  to  grow  North Carolina’s economy while protecting its air, water and quality of life.”
