The State of Conservation in the North Carolina Blue Ridge

Come to Second Gear in West Asheville on February 17 to hear MountainTrue’s Public Lands Field Biologist Josh Kelly speak about conservation efforts in Western North Carolina. He will cover topics including trends and status of regional biodiversity, rare species, forest integrity, water quality, and protected lands. In addition to this, Josh will address threats to conservation in our region, including fragmentation, non-native invasive species, climate change, policies, and lack of public investment.
