French Broad River Adventures

The French Broad River runs through western North Carolina from Rosman into Tennessee’s Douglas Lake. Along the way, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to explore the river as it travels through rolling farmland, national forests, urban areas, and quirky mountain towns. Choose from a litany of options such as day trips, tube floats, section paddles, and more.

Hartwell Carson, the French Broad Riverkeeper, will discuss the French Broad River Paddle Trail and the annual MountainTrue French Broad River Paddle Trip, a multi-day paddle-camping adventure with the rare opportunity to camp on Sierra Nevada Brewery, Asheville, NC‘s riverfront property scheduled for August 1-3 this year. The trail was ranked as one of the world’s premiere travel destinations by Outside Magazine in 2016.
