Join Buncombe County Parks and Recreation and MountainTrue for an Earth Day River Clean-Up on the the French Broad River from Bent Creek River Park to Hominy Creek River Park!
All participants will be in canoes. Previous canoe experience is recommended but not required. The trip will be approximately 6 miles. This is a longer trip and participants will want to bring lunch and water. All equipment will be provided.
We will meet at Hominy Creek River Park, where you will leave your car and then will be shuttled to Bent Creek River Park.
Participants will want to wear clothes they don’t mind getting wet and all participants must wear shoes that will stay securely on their feet (no flip flops). We recommend sneakers or other closed toe shoes to protect your feet during the clean-up. Bring a water bottle, lunch, and snacks.
