The Appalachian Design Center is assembling a volunteer professional team to support the development of a Creekwalk Design Plan for Bakersville’s creekside public space and greenway, a central gathering place within the town impacted by Hurricane Helene. This community-driven effort supports recovery planning through concept-level design work and targeted community engagement.
