Volunteer For River Recovery

a.svg

Lend a hand. Restore our rivers.
Re-energize Western North Carolina.

Hurricane Helene left a mess in our waterways — but together, we can set things right. Whether you have a free afternoon or want to rally your whole crew, MountainTrue’s River Cleanup Program has a place for you.

Why Volunteer?

Protect What You Love

Every piece of trash and every log you pull improves water quality, wildlife habitat, and public safety.

Build Community

Meet neighbors who share your passion for clean rivers and healthy outdoor spaces.

See Instant Impact

Leave a stretch of river visibly better than you found it—then paddle, fish, or hike it with pride.

Ways To Get Involved

Individual Volunteer

Sign up for a land or water cleanup. We bring gear, give guidance, and make it fun. Most events last 3 to 4 hours. Expect to get messy—in a good way.

Sign up for an existing cleanup here, or fill out our form below to learn about future opportunities.

Organize a Group

Team up with your church, club, or friends. We’ll help pick a site, bring the gear, and make it easy. Choose a half-day, full-day, or something ongoing.

Please fill out our form below to schedule your group cleanup.
