Join us for an evening of outdoor exploration at Brookshire Park as we uncover the fascinating world that comes alive at dusk!

This all-ages, hands-on workshop will guide participants through the hidden ecosystems of our local landscape. We’ll explore:

🦗 Macroinvertebrates – Discover the tiny aquatic creatures that tell us big stories about water quality and stream health.
🐸 Vernal Pools – Learn why these seasonal pools are critical habitats for amphibians and other wildlife.
🌿 Invasive Plants – Identify common invasive species in our area and learn how they can be used in your kitchen. If you can’t beat ’em, eat ’em!

Perfect for families, curious kids, or lifelong learners, this interactive evening program combines science, stewardship, and a little bit of creekside adventure. Come ready to get your hands wet, ask questions, and see the park in a whole new light.

Huge thanks to a member of our river family, Katherine Parham, for partnering with us for this exciting event.

The rain date for this event is April 24th. Please save both dates on your calendar.
