Join MountainTrue as we do an intensive water quality look in Hominy Creek. For three weeks, we’ll be taking samples specifically looking at bacteria pollution in Hominy Creek.
We’ll meet at the Ingles parking lot (address below), where MountainTrue staff will give you materials and teach you what you need to know. From there, we’ll all go grab samples from different locations and then meet back at the Ingles parking lot by 1PM to drop samples off, so MountainTrue staff can bring them back to the lab to process.
Bring a small cooler if you have one. We’ll provide sampling materials and gloves. We’ll be working off of Google Maps, so it’s helpful to have that app on your phone, or partner with someone who does. Wear clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting wet or dirty.
