Join Mountaintrue for a volunteer workday to remove nonnative invasive plants along the Jackson Greenway, in Partnership with Jackson County Parks and Recreation and Friends of Jackson County Greenways. We will primarily be pulling up roots and using hand tools to remove invasive plants like Chinese privet, bittersweet, and multiflora rose. We have large and small tasks available, so you don’t need to be able to do strenuous physical labor in order to participate.
No prior experience is necessary; we will provide tools and training.
The rain date for this event is April 17th, 2026. Please save both dates on your calendar.
Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the workday.
As much as we love our furry friends, pets are not permitted at this workday.
