Savannah Lytle, Western Region Watershed Outreach Coordinator
As MountainTrue’s Western Region Outreach Coordinator, Savannah works directly within all of the Western Region’s water quality programs, including Adopt-A-Stream, microplastics, and Swim Guide. She also conducts education and outreach programs.
Savannah has had the privilege of living in the Piedmont, mountains, and coastal regions of North Carolina. Savannah earned her Bachelor of Science at Montreat College in Outdoor Education. While at Montreat College, she fell in love with WNC and developed a desire to protect this special place. Savannah served as MountainTrue’s Outings and Education Coordinator through AmeriCorps Project Conserve from 2021-2022 and is excited to be back at an organization with a mission close to her heart. Savannah comes to MountainTrue from the Cape Fear River Watch in Wilmington, NC, where she gained hands-on experience with water quality monitoring and watershed restoration projects.
In her free time, you can find Savannah hiking, backpacking, paddling, gardening, reading, baking, playing string bass, laughing with friends, and planning her next adventure with her husband.
