Sydney Swafford, Development and Operations Coordinator

Sydney was born and raised in Jamestown, North Carolina, just outside of Greensboro, but moved to Charlotte to attend UNC Charlotte. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science degree with a focus in water quality and stream restoration. Alongside her major, she minored in geography and women’s and gender studies and is passionate about the intersection of environmentalism and human rights. One of Sydney’s lifelong goals is to visit every national park in the United States. She has currently visited ten parks and hopes to continue traveling to see more of the beautiful landscapes across the country. She’s also passionate about painting, drawing, and anything artistic. She lives in Asheville with her h Nick, chihuahua Lucy, and bearded dragon, Apollo!​
