Join your Broad Riverkeeper and MountainTrue South Debris Removal Crew at the confluence of Hickory Creek and the Broad River to plant live stakes along the shore line. Hurricane Helene scoured the stream and riverbanks, leaving bare earth and rocks, susceptible to erosion which leads to sediment entering the river. Help us stabilize the riverbanks and restore the waterways to their natural beauty.
We’ll teach you all you need to know and supply all the materials for a good day helping to repair our waterways. Live staking is stream bank repair using native tree cuttings to revegetate the riparian buffer.
