Join MountainTrue and Friends of Hominy Creek Greenway as we remove invasive plants on the Hominy Creek Greenway, a hidden gem of the Asheville Park system. We will be using the “cut and paint” method of treating invasive plants.
All participants will be trained in the identification of invasive plants and in the safe use of herbicides to treat woody invasive plants like bittersweet, burning bush, and autumn olive.
Tools, training, supervision, and personal protective equipment will be provided by MountainTrue.
Kids 12 years of age and older are welcome if accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the workday.
