Allan Smith

Allan Smith is MountainTrue’s Septic Repair Program Specialist, coordinating essential septic system repairs across the region to protect clean water and aid post-Hurricane Helene recovery efforts. Prior to taking on his current role, he served as the team lead for MountainTrue’s Asheville Debris Removal team from its launch. Born and raised in Zirconia, NC, Allan’s passion for environmental stewardship stems from a lifelong connection to WNC’s rivers. Allan brings a diverse background in outdoor leadership and disaster response, having worked as a whitewater guide, operated an emergency kitchen for the City of Asheville, and served as a Quality Control Manager for Army Corps of Engineers contractors following Hurricane Helene. Outside of work, Allan is a lifelong paddler and international motorcycle adventurer.
