Join your Green Riverkeeper and the “Green Bats” debris team to haul trash out of the confluence of Big Hungry and the Green River.
Please come prepared to hike 1.3 miles (round-trip) into the area we will be cleaning. Volunteers will be handling housing debris, working in large debris piles with where steady footing is needed, and carrying heavy loads to our staging area.
Please be prepared to get wet during the event. Volunteers should come prepared for a strenuous workday working around many hazards. While we love seeing all of your beautiful pups at events, please leave Fido at home for this one.
Please bring snacks, sunscreen, plenty of water, gloves if you have them (we will have some also), any medical needs, and anything else that will make the day more enjoyable for you. Closed toed shoes are required for this event.
This will be a light rain or shine event. Due to the stability of the trail, if heavy rain or storms are in the area, we will have to cancel the event until a later date.

You’ll take Upward Road from I26 (exit 53) toward Big Hungry Rd. Turn onto Big Hungry Rd. and follow to Gallimore Rd. Take a right onto Gallimore Rd. and follow until it dead-ends into a culdesac. Someone will be there to direct parking at the event.
