Join the local organizers of the People’s Petition to protect public lands and MountainTrue to show your support for keeping public lands public in Cherokee County, NC!
While we’re grateful the Commissioners rescinded their April 2025 petition that asked the U.S. Government for National Forest lands to be made available for private development, organizers are asking them to go one step further and pass a resolution supporting public lands, prioritizing conservation, clean water, and public access.
As the rally wraps up, the Commissioners’ April meeting will be starting. We hope you will come in for that too. Let’s pack the room!
No weapons are allowed at the Rally or inside the Courthouse. Signs supporting Public Lands are encouraged.
