Volunteer River Cleanup in Bat Cave, NC

Join MountainTrue for a Hickory Creek cleanup in Bat Cave on Saturday (10/17) from 10am – 1pm. This event will be rain or shine.

Please bring water, snacks, sunscreen, gloves, sturdy water shoes or sneakers (no flip-flops), anything else you might need to be comfortable during the cleanup.

We will provide buckets, trashbags, “grabbers,” shovels, sunscreen, bugspray, dump trailer for debris, etc.

Additionally, volunteers are welcome to join us for lunch (optional) after the cleanup at the 828 Taproom at 3100 Memorial Hwy (Lake Lure).

Parking Options: parallel park alongside the road, or in the field (might be muddy, depending on rain)
Parking is tight, so please carpool if possible

Youth under the age of 18 are permitted on this clean-up as long as they are accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the workday.
