Coal Ash Stories screening

Come learn more about NC’s coal ash mess and get ready to participate in local hearings on Cliffside coal ash cleanup on March 14th! The N.C. Department of Environmental Quality is currently deciding when and how Duke Energy’s coal ash sites across the state will be cleaned up. “Coal Ash Stories,” a series of short films, will give you background on the issues. Local co-sponsors include Clean Water for North Carolina, the Broad Riverkeeper, and the French Broad Riverkeeper.
