In the wake of Hurricane Helene, MountainTrue is dedicated to addressing the urgent needs of our community.
Join us for a robust conversation with climate activist Bill McKibben at The Collider in Downtown Asheville! MountainTrue is proud to be a sponsor of this event to raise funds for the Neighbor to Neighbor Low Income Solar Program.
From 7-8:00 p.m., you’ll enjoy music from local bluegrass band Zoe and Cloyd and heavy hors d’oeuvres from a local caterer. From 8-9:00 p.m., you’ll hear from Bill McKibben and have an opportunity to have his latest book signed. Books are available for purchase from Malaprops Books. A Gandhi Peace Award Winner & Environmental Scholar, McKibben will relay his vision for climate change action in a red state, along with what keeps him motivated and hopeful. McKibben is a co-founder of 350.org and Third Act.
