Megan Huske, River Clean-up Program Assistant
Megan was born and raised in Mills River, NC. Her strong connection to the land and wildlife inspires her work to support the health of WNC’s waterways and mountain communities.
She received her bachelor’s degree in Environmental Ecology and Biology from UNC Asheville. She has a background in wildlife surveying, including positions with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians Natural Resources Department, as well as the Summit Lake Paiute Tribes Natural Resources Department in Nevada.
While working at a local river outfitter, Megan fell in love with whitewater and all things adventurous. In her free time, you can find Megan on the rivers, hanging out with her cat, Ocoee, and sunset chasing throughout WNC.
