CCA 2026 Symposium: “Building Resilience: Congregations in a Climate-Changed World” in Asheville, NC May 1 & 2nd

SAVE THE Date! In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, faith communities have stepped into the disaster recovery and resilience-building arena. With their local people and businesses now experiencing the devastating impacts of climate crises, congregations have responded to these challenges in creative, compassionate ways that have increased their value to their neighbors. This Symposium will network WNC people of faith with each other to share what they have learned and how the shared natural disaster has changed them. Helpful resources will be provided to encourage them to continue serving as central hubs for climate resilience.
The symposium will focus on:
Building relationships within congregations and with local partners.
Improving emergency preparedness and response.
Fostering spiritual and emotional healing in the wake of environmental crises.
