Ella Tzinberg – Bio

Ella Tzinberg, AmeriCorps Education & Outings Coordinator

Ella Tzinberg is a proud native of Birmingham, Alabama where she grew up exploring the few nearby forests and streams. With a thirst for a more mountainous environment, Ella chose to attend Warren Wilson College where she earned her bachelor’s in Outdoor Leadership Studies and studied adventure, education, environmental stewardship and how the three work together. Since graduating in 2011, Ella has put that theory into practice. She has spent time as an adventure coordinator with Ghost Ranch in northern New Mexico, teaching adults about the flora and fauna of the desert Southwest and facilitating high ropes courses. In the San Francisco Bay Area, she taught coastal and redwood ecology to five to 12-years-old students as lead outdoor education instructor for Wanderers. More recently, Ella taught 4th through 8th-grade students about the land of southern Appalachia as an outdoor education instructor with Mountain Trail Outdoor School in Hendersonville, North Carolina. Ella’s passion is inspiring other to learn about the world around them, and she is thrilled to join MountainTrue in reaching out to our community and teaching others about conservation in a place she calls home.
