Join MountainTrue and Conserving Carolina for a community picnic at the shelter of the Bradley Nature Preserve at Alexander’s Ford (part of the Overmountain National Historic Victory Trail) on Sunday, September 24 beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Meet MountainTrue’s Southern Regional Director and Green Riverkeeper, Gray Jernigan, and learn about his work to make sure the Green River stays a healthy place to swim, paddle and play. We’ll also be celebrating the recent merger between Carolina Mountain Land Conservancy and the Tryon-based Pacolet Area Conservancy into the newly-named Conserving Carolina. Conserving Carolina played a major role in preserving the Bradley Nature Preserve at Alexander’s Ford.
There will be food and beverages, lawn games, and a three-mile, round-trip hike down the trail to the Green River.
