On Thursday, July 12, Hendersonville Green Drinks welcomes Jane Hatley, the WNC Director of the Self-Help Ventures Fund at Self-Help Credit Union. She will be speaking about the credit union’s Environmental Loans and how Self-Help has been supporting green businesses, nonprofits, and communities for over 25 years. Hatley will also address what the bank looks for in a loan and will open the floor to questions.

Hatley has over 17 years of commercial and small business lending experience with Self-Help–and two years of serving as the Business Development Officer for Green Lending and Child Care Lending. Before coming to Self-Help, she was the CEO of an internet service provider, SkyRunner, which she took from start-up stage to its purchase by investors.
Self-Help Credit Union has been serving marginalized populations, including people of color, rural communities, low-income families and individuals, and women for over 37 years. Self-Help Credit Union is a CDFI, or a community-development financial institution, as well as a community credit union.
