MountainTrue Lower Green River Clean-up near Saluda, NC 7/18

Please join our Green River work crew for an afternoon cleaning up a small section of the Lower Green. This work day will not require a boat, but volunteers should be prepared to be in and out of the water on steep banks and uneven terrain.

Please be prepared for the day to be strenuous, as you will be pulling large trash from the river and its banks to haul up to the road to be loaded into a dump trailer.

Closed-toed shoes are required. Work gloves and tools will be provided, but please bring plenty of water, sunscreen, snacks, hats, medical needs, and appropriate clothing to pull out large and potentially sharp objects from the river. We will meet at Fish Top Access to sign waivers and talk about how the day will run, and then we will carpool to the cleanup location.
