Interested in helping preserve our waterways? Then join us for SMIE (or Stream Monitoring Information Exchange) training! SMIE is a program that examines macroinvertebrates to determine stream health. This program runs from October 10th to November 16th and the training will be online. Join MountainTrue in our last-ditch effort to get outside before winter arrives and we're stuck inside! This hike will be led by MountainTrue's Ecologist and Public Lands Director, Bob Gale. The hike is on the Summit Trail, a 4-mile out and back trail, that offers spectacular views of Mount Jefferson, Grandfather Mountain, Mount Mitchell, and more!
