In the wake of Hurricane Helene, MountainTrue is dedicated to addressing the urgent needs of our community.
We are helping to reduce the amount of sediment that flows into our rivers by planting live-stakes along eroding riverbanks. We'll be planting all through March, so come out to one or more of our Paddle-n-Plant work days!
Looking for an excuse to get in the creek and learn more about water quality? We've got just the opportunity for you! MountainTrue relies on our volunteers to monitor stream health throughout Henderson County.
Are you interested in helping to restore native plants to Asheville’s largest forested park? Take part in one of MountainTrue’s Invasive Plant Removal Days at Richmond Hill Park. The park is home to many special native plant and animal species, and with your help we can help them thrive.
