This easy hike along the beautiful state Wild & Scenic section of the Hiwassee River in Tennessee follows the route taken by one of the early founders of the conservation movement, John Muir, during his "Thousand Mile Walk to the Gulf."
Wildflower Walk and Garlic Mustard Pull 4/19/23
Join MountainTrue staff for what should be peak wildflower conditions along a beautiful section of the Appalachian Trail near Max Patch. We will hike four miles round trip to eradicate an early infestation of garlic mustard and enjoy the sights and sounds of spring along the way. The hike is moderately strenuous.

We will again primarily be using hand tools to cut invasive shrubs like Chinese privet and then treat the stumps. No prior experience is necessary; we will provide tools and training. All you have to bring is water and energy!
International Fly Fishing Film Festival in Boone, NC
