Hemlock Hike in the Green River Game Lands

Join the Hemlock Restoration Initiative, MountainTrue, and Polk County Recreation on Thursday, Nov. 2nd for a hike through the Green River Game Lands and along the scenic Green River.  Our hike will pass through eastern hemlock habitat, and while taking in the natural beauty, we learn about hemlock's role in the ecosystem, the threats they face, and what management approaches are taking place in North Carolina, including at the Green River Game Lands.
