Join MountainTrue and the Sierra Club for monthly meetings to discuss local, state and national environmental issues.
Join us for a special workshop on monitoring and protecting water quality in our national forests! Participants will get out into the Pisgah National Forest to learn some of the common sources of erosion that might be observed on a hike or ride through the woods. We will explore "Best Management Practices" and common issues with timber sales, road construction, and storm-water systems and educate participants about how to monitor and report when erosion is occurring.
