In the wake of Hurricane Helene, MountainTrue is dedicated to addressing the urgent needs of our community.
On Monday afternoons weather permitting this winter and spring, MountainTrue is hosting volunteer workdays to control nonnative invasive plants and restore native habitat along the Murphy River Walk & Canoe Trail. Let’s work together to continue to improve the wildlife habitat and natural beauty at the Murphy River Walk!
Join members of the High Country Habitat Restoration Coalition on March 18 from 4-6 p.m. to remove non-native invasive species along the pathways and trails. We will be working to eradicate invasives. Bring your love of native plants and your desire to keep Boone beautiful!
Join MountainTrue on this great late winter hike following the Green River. This hike will offer continuous views of the Green River's quiet stretches to its most intense rapids. Click the link to learn more and register for this guided hike!
It's Spring Equinox! Warmth is returning! At the cusp of this seasonal change, we celebrate World Water Day and recognize the Broad River watershed relationships that tie us together! Come learn about our river from the Broad Riverkeeper, enjoy fellowship and outdoor games with Rutherford Outdoor Coalition, and participate in a Dreaming Stone celebration of the sacred gift of water at the Broad River. Registration is required for this event.
