In the wake of Hurricane Helene, MountainTrue is dedicated to addressing the urgent needs of our community.
Come raise a glass and celebrate World Water Day at Appalachian Mountain Brewery’s Taphouse in Boone, NC. Watauga Riverkeeper, Andy Hill, will share some of the recent clean water victories, and discuss challenges to water conservation in the High Country. Portions of each pint of Hop Rain Drop goes directly to benefit MountainTrue through AMB’s We Can So You Can foundation, with a focus on revitalization of our communities, mountains & rivers.
Join MountainTrue in a nonnative invasive plant workday on March 23! We will be removing invasive species like multiflora rose, Japanese honeysuckle, privet, and oriental bittersweet in a forest not far from the North Carolina Arboretum.
Come plant with us at one of our live staking work days in March! Live staking is the process of planting live cuttings of dormant trees in the riparian buffer zone along the stream bank which helps filter storm water runoff, protect vital aquatic habitat, and prevent soil erosion and sediment pollution.
