In the wake of Hurricane Helene, MountainTrue is dedicated to addressing the urgent needs of our community.
We are excited to announce a raffle drawing to raise important funds supporting the work and programs of MountainTrue. The raffle winner will have their choice of either of these handmade, one-of-a-kind, wooden paddles crafted by your Broad Riverkeeper, David Caldwell. The winner will be announced at our MountainTrue Virtual Annual Gathering on Wednesday October 21st. You can get one entry ticket for $10 or 3 tickets for $20.
The canoe paddle is made for serious paddling, 145 cm long and weighs 32 oz. It is carved from walnut, oak, basswood, and mahogany, #21.
The kayak paddle is suitable for a whitewater or small sit-on-top kayak. It is carved from basswood and walnut and is 200 cm long and weighs 36 oz., #20.
