Earth Day Kid’s Merchandise Design Contest
Calling all budding artists aged 10-14. In Honor of Earth Day, MountainTrue is hosting our first Kid's Merchandise Design Contest.
The winner will receive the chance to work with a professional designer to make their design merchandise ready AND a wearable item with their design on it. They will also be featured in a MountainTrue e-newsletter as the contest winner.
Invasive Removal at Double Head Knob near Arden, NC 4/24
Mountains To Sea Trail ArdenJoin MountainTrue Biologist, Josh Kelly for an invasive plant removal workday. This workday will include a scenic and strenuous 3-mile hike to Double Head Knob, an excellent example of a montane grassland growing over a sloping rock outcrop. The site is being threatened by several species of invasive plants, which participants will help control mechanically and with herbicide.
