At the event, we will provide training on Swim Guide methods and interested folks will have the opportunity to register to volunteer for the 2024 Swim Guide season. This is also a chance to meet our hard-working Water Team Staff, corporate sponsors, and other volunteers!
SAVE THE DATE! Each year, MountainTrue hosts a BioBlitz to record all the species we can find in a given area. We identify and catalog organisms using the online app iNaturalist. The BioBiltz this year will be on June 1st in Erwin, TN.

Beech Mountain Brewing Co. is thrilled to announce a special benefit concert featuring bluegrass sensations Shadowgrass, with opener Liam Purcell & Cane Mill Road. The event will take place on July 2, with doors opening at 5 p.m. and the show starting at 7 p.m. All proceeds from the concert will support MountainTrue and the Colon Cancer Coalition, two organizations dedicated to vital causes in our community.
