Wildflower Walk and Garlic Mustard Pull 4/19/23
Join MountainTrue staff for what should be peak wildflower conditions along a beautiful section of the Appalachian Trail near Max Patch. We will hike four miles round trip to eradicate an early infestation of garlic mustard and enjoy the sights and sounds of spring along the way. The hike is moderately strenuous.

Jackson Greenway Workday 4/29
Jackson County Greenway Loop Monteith Gap Rd, Cullowhee, NC, United StatesMountainTrue, in partnership with Mainspring Conservation Trust, is hosting another volunteer workday to control non-native invasive plants and restore native habitat at the Jackson County Greenway. We will primarily be pulling up roots and using hand tools to remove invasive shrubs like Chinese privet and then treat the stumps. No prior experience is necessary; we will provide tools and training.

13th Annual Green River Spring Cleaning in Saluda, NC
Fishtop Access 2302 Green River Cove, Saluda, North CarolinaJoin MountainTrue's Green Riverkeeper and Liquidlogic Co-founder Shane Benedict for the 13th Annual Green River Spring Cleaning! We’ll divide into teams, then get on the river and roadside to pull out as much litter as possible before the summer paddling season. We need paddlers of all skill levels to tackle each section of the Green all the way from the Upper Green below the Tuxedo hydroelectric station, through the Narrows, down the Lower Green, and all the way to Lake Adger.
