    Is your yard ready for a fresh start after the storm? Or maybe it just needs a little love?🌿 Save the date for our 2025 Fall Native Plant Sale is now LIVE! 🌿
    Whether you're rebuilding or reimagining, we've got the plants to help your yard thrive. Proceeds benefit MountainTrue. All plants are sourced from Carolina Native Nursery. 

    The ONLINE sale will run from Oct. 1st at 10 am through Oct. 31st at 11:59 pm (or until supplies last). Don't miss your chance to spruce up your yard all while supporting MountainTrue and a local nursery.

  • MountainTrue French Broad River Section 10 Clean-Up #2 in Tennessee 10/9

    Volunteers are invited to help clean up Helene-deposited trash from the French Broad River in Cocke County, Tennessee with MountainTrue’s French Broad Riverkeeper team and outfitters associated with the Nolichucky Outdoor Recreation Association. This clean-up will be boat-based and focus on the river between the North Carolina / Tennessee state line at Paint Rock and Wolf Creek Boat Launch in Del Rio. This stretch of river is often referred to as “Section 10” and contains numerous class II rapids.

  • Invasive Plant Removal Workday near Cullowhee, NC at Jackson Greenway 10/10

    Join Mountaintrue for a volunteer workday to remove nonnative invasive plants along the Jackson Greenway, in Partnership with Jackson County Parks and Recreation and Mainspring. We will primarily be pulling up roots and using hand tools to remove invasive plants like Chinese privet, autumn olive, and multiflora rose.

  • Calling Volunteers in Asheville, NC! MountainTrue is the Non-Profit Beneficiary for the Wicked Spooky 5k on Oct. 25th

    The Funkatorium 147 Coxe Ave., Asheville, NC

    MountainTrue is the non-profit beneficiary for Kick It Event Management's Wicked Spooky 5k on Saturday, October 25th! How it works: we raise money for our work in exchange for providing volunteers for the event. Any funds raised will support MountainTrue, including the hurricane recovery work we are doing in the community.

    Volunteers will receive a drink ticket for a beer or a n/a beverage after their shift.

    Join Mountaintrue for a volunteer workday to remove nonnative invasive plants along the Pinnacle Park trail system, in Partnership with the Town of Sylva and Mainspring. We will primarily be pulling up roots and using hand tools to remove invasive plants like Chinese privet, burning bush, and multiflora rose. 

  • 15th Annual Lake Chatuge Shoreline Cleanup near Hiawassee, GA 11/1

    Towns County Swim Beach Pavillion US-76, Hiawassee, GA

    Join with other lake loving volunteers on Saturday, November 1st for MountainTrue’s 15th Annual Lake Chatuge Shoreline Cleanup. The event will kick off at 9am at the Towns County Swim Beach Pavilion across from the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds.

  • First Saturday of the month clean-up in Chimney Rock, NC 11/1

    Chimney Rock Village Public Parking 432 Main St, Chimney Rock, NC

    Join MountainTrue for a riverside cleanup series in the heart of Chimney Rock Village. Clean-ups will happen the first Saturday of the month beginning in November 2025 and running through July of 2026.
