William Ritter & Sarah Ogletree, singers and traditional fiddle, banjo, and guitar players, will begin playing at 5:00 p.m. at the Lake Junaluska Conference & Retreat Center and will wrap up the night around 7:00 in the evening.

He will speak on the lifecycle of plastic bags, their effect on our environment, and how our choices can reduce the number of bags that end up in our rivers and streams, and tangled in trees.

August 17 is National Thrift Shop Day and MountainTrue, The City of Hendersonville Environmental Sustainability Board, and The Hospice Home Store of Hendersonville invite the community to help reduce the amount of waste in our landfills. Residents are asked to bring clothing and textiles in bags labeled as recyclable fabric, unopened toiletries that will be sent to the VA Medical Center in Asheville, and other household goods to the Henderson Hospice Home Store.
