Join Broad Riverkeeper David Caldwell for a fall float along the Broad River. We will be paddling a beautiful and remote stretch of the Broad that few people get to paddle and enjoy!
Want to get in the river AND contribute to its health? Assist with cleanout and inventory of trash types and brands found within the Trash Trouts.
Join us again on Saturday, October 19th for a Watauga River clean-up! We will meet at the Wine to Water Warehouse at 9 am to check in and then head to the clean-up site, arriving by 10 am.
Join us on Tuesday, October 22nd at Brookshire Park from 1pm to 4pm to help clean up trash along the South Fork of the New River.
MountainTrue, in partnership with the Mainspring Conservation Trust and the Pinnacle Park Foundation, is hosting a community volunteer workday to restore native habitat at Pinnacle Park in Sylva. While we had planned to tackle nonnative invasive plants, if cleanup is needed from the storm, we'll work on that first. No prior experience is necessary; we will provide tools and training. Please register in advance so that we will have enough tools, gloves, etc.
Help our team keep the Greenway Clean from 1-4 pm on October 24th. We plan to get outside and make more headway removing trash along the South Fork of the New River.
Our Green Riverkeeper office has recently moved to Saluda, NC, and is hosting an open house to celebrate with the community. Come out to see the new space, mingle with fellow MountainTrue supporters, build new relationships, and support local businesses in the area.

The City of Hendersonville treats drinking water for over 80,000 people, operates and maintains of over 683 miles of water mains, 54 water pumping stations, and 24 water storage tanks. Join us in a tour of this municipal water treatment facility.
Join MountainTrue's Clean Water Team and staff from River Link to help remove debris and mitigate pollution in the French Broad.
Join us on Friday, November 1st, for a Watauga River clean-up! We will meet at the clean-up site at 10 am, talk as a group, and then disperse along the river for trash pickup. This area needs a good litter sweep and we are also working to identify any hazardous or large debris items (cars, propane tanks, etc.).
