Green River Race

Come out to the Narrows section of the Green River to watch the 24th annual Green River Race – the most competitive and challenging whitewater paddling race in the country.
Festivities kick off with a Pre-Race Party on Thursday, October 31st from 6 PM until 10pm at New Belgium. Wear your best costume – there will be prizes! The Green Race starts at noon on Saturday, November 2nd, but make sure to account for time to park and hike into the Narrows, and note that the hike down to the race is very steep.
The race will be followed by the Green Race Festival located at Green River Paradise (3851 GREEN RIVER COVE ROAD, SALUDA, NC 28773) starting at 5 PM. Spectator information and festival tickets can be found here.
