MountainTrue is partnering with community organizations including GreenWorks, RiverLink, AmeriCorps Project Conserve and Mills River Partnership to bring as many volunteers together as possible. With support from our Riverkeeper programs on the French Broad, Watauga, Broad and Green Rivers, we plan to make this the best Big Sweep yet. Come on out to be part of the effort!
Come help us add a new campsite to the French Broad Paddle Trail! We're looking to class up the French Broad with a new campsite at the FB's confluence with Mud Creek. We'll need help mowing grass, weed-eating, back-hoe driving, outhouse, stair, and picnic table building, as well as invasive species removal. Please RSVP to let us know you're coming!
Help MountainTrue's Southern Regional Office and Mike Huffman, the Stormwater Quality Specialist for Hendersonville make the city's water healthier with the help of storm drain labels. Mike will give a short lecture and demonstration about the tags at the beginning of the event, which will run from 10-1 on September 30.
