After the clean-up we will head back to the Cotton Mill for an evening of fabulous local music, the best grilled veggies and meats, and friendship fun for all. The environmental work that goes on in WNC is vitally important to sustaining the health, beauty, and well-being of our region and communities. Rhythm & Brews: Rad Trads and Honey Island Swamp Band

The Rhythm & Brews concerts series brings together live music, great food, and local beer, wine and cider! These FREE concerts close part of South Main Street to make room for all of this fun, as well as a children's area with games and activities. We will wrap up the series on September 19th with Opener: Rad Trads at 5:30pm and Headliner: Honey Island Swamp Band at 7:30pm. The concert will be on Main Street between Allen & Caswell Streets in Hendersonville. We hope to see you there!

Join MountainTrue’s own Chris Joyell, Director of the Asheville Design Center, on a walk through downtown Asheville. While winding through the streets of downtown, Chris will recount stories from Asheville’s history that shaped the city and turned it into the beautiful, quirky place we love today. Much of the city’s unique history is unknown to most Ashevillians, but it spans everything from citizen protests to decades of crushing debt to policies that moved whole communities. While we walk, Chris will also discuss some of the changes Asheville is experiencing today and where this growth could lead us in the future.
