13th Annual Green River Spring Cleaning in Saluda, NC
Fishtop Access 2302 Green River Cove, Saluda, North CarolinaJoin MountainTrue's Green Riverkeeper and Liquidlogic Co-founder Shane Benedict for the 13th Annual Green River Spring Cleaning! We’ll divide into teams, then get on the river and roadside to pull out as much litter as possible before the summer paddling season. We need paddlers of all skill levels to tackle each section of the Green all the way from the Upper Green below the Tuxedo hydroelectric station, through the Narrows, down the Lower Green, and all the way to Lake Adger.
Swim Guide Volunteer Launch in the High Country

Hear about how our mountain community is one of many contributing to an international effort to monitor bacteria levels at local “beaches” or, in our case, lakes or streams.

2023 Craggy Mountain BioBlitz
Big Ivy Community Center 540 Dillingham Rd, Barnardsville, NC, United StatesWith Spring finally in tow, we are excited to announce our 2023 BioBlitz! Every year, MountainTrue hosts this event to get experts, naturalists, and learners outdoors to document every living organism we can find. This year's BioBlitz kicks off on June 10th with our in-person day at Big Ivy Community Center. We will split off into groups led by expert naturalists to find and document as many unique species as possible using iNaturalist, a social network to map and share observations of biodiversity across the globe.

This event will continue to happen the 4th Thursday of every month June-September from 5:30-8ish. You do not have to kayak to be a part of the monthly cleans.
