Lunch and Learn with MountainTrue: Single-Use Plastics in Asheville, NC

Want to learn what MountainTrue has been doing to address single-use plastics and how you can help? Join us for a lunch and learn, hosted by MountainTrue and Green Sage Cafe.
We see them all over the road, clogging storm drains, and in the river, but plastics are more than just a trash issue. Single-use plastics are items of convenience, most of which are unrecyclable, that we may use for a few minutes before throwing them out. These disposable items wreak havoc on the environment but also pose serious threats to our health, our landfills, and the most vulnerable populations among us.
MountainTrue is excited to be the 2024 recipient of Green Sage’s annual donation program. Bring your reusable Green Sage glass juice bottles and coffee mugs to any Green Sage location and they’ll donate 10 cents to MountainTrue each time! Learn more about this program here.
Participation is limited to 14 so don’t wait to register!
Lunch will be purchased separately by participants. To make ordering easier, Green Sage will have a designated cash register for Lunch and Learn participants. Please arrive between 11:10 and 11:25 so you can order and get settled before the presentation.
